Cinema 4D – Splines and Nurbs

I experimented with the Spline and Nurb tools. these tools are used to create a 3D object in  varied ways. With the spline tool, i used freehand, bezier, and circle to make the experimental models. And, with the Nurd tool, i used extrude, lathe and loft to make the spline 3D.

The Image above was created using a freehand spline and the lathe tool. I drew half the shape with the spline in the front view window and then adjusted the points of the shape. After that, i included a lathe and dragged the spline onto the lathe and created the shape.

This next image was done with a bezier spline and with the ends connected. i then dragged the spline onto the Extrude tool and adjusted the width of the shape.

For this shape i drew a line using the freehand spline, and then i duplicated the spline and moved them behind one another and reduced the size each for each duplicate of the line. After this, i dragged the splines (in order) onto the loft tool to get the shape.

To make this, I used a bezier curve with an open ended spline in the top view. I then included a circle spline and arranged it to the beginning of the line. After that, I dragged the spline onto the sweep tool and then the circle to get this formation.
